ANNHARLES supports HUDUMA AFRIKA RURAL EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME(HAREP) projects.
HAREP’s mission is to give excellent service to Africa to ensure that every household is relieved from poverty through sustainable programs.
HAREP is a registered international NGO and its main objective is to promote access to education, healthcare services, improve agricultural
production, conserve environment, relieve poverty for the poor and less fortunate in the society while restoring dignity for the poor.
HAREP’s specific objectives include but are not limited to the following
Promote access to education through establishing educational institutions/programs in marginalized areas for vulnerable groups; Raise,
mobilize and disburse resources and funds for the promotion of our activities; Educate the poor on modern farming techniques and facilitate
them with accessing farm inputs and market for their produce.
HAREP trains the less fortunate on entrepreneurial skills like weaving, embroidery, baking, tailoring, motor mechanics, welding, farming,
brick making, masonry, carpentry, cooking oil production from plants like ovacado, juice production, jam production, soap production,
bead-making, making belts and baskets/bags just to mention but a few.
HAREP rescues children from early marriages and Female Genital mutilation and sends them to school. HAREP visits and educates the
families with physically disabled children to take them to school instead of hiding them in their homes. It reaches out to the aged and
disabled in the community and helps them with their daily activities like washing clothes, cleaning house and environment, caring for their
poultry and dairy animals etc.
HAREP forms groups in the communities and helps them to start income generating activities through table banking(individuals putting money
together on a table and lending it out to members) microfinance which helps members to improve their livelihoods. These income generating
activities have helped to reduce the number of youths indulging in drug abuse and crime because they are busy working and they get income to
meet their basic needs.
HAREP groups need clothing, shoes, medicine, wheelchairs, special shoes for physically disabled, farmgear and farm chemicals/inputs,
bee-harvesting gear, children’s toys, children educational play items, play items like balls, skipping ropes, hearing aid, books, walking aid,
tailoring machines, knitting machine and accessories and any other items that our guests may bring including contributing to HAREP
Disabled Fund. These fund pays school fees for vulnerable children in the community and helps those who have no food or clothing.
